Sam Cooke

The art of approach play is one which has been lost on many guys. And even if you think you've got it down-pat, the chances are you could do with a little bit of help to brush up on your game. Model Sam Cooke is one lady who gets her fair share of male attention and she knows a thing or two about guys and their often feeble attempts to chat up the fairer sex: Here the former Page 3 idol breaks down the art of approaching a girl...
Be confident
The good looking guys tend to be arrogant from my experience but confidence is important. If you lack confidence it’s a real turn off for any girl -- if you don't feel you have the right to be speaking to the girl why should she think so either?
Also, it may be a cliché, but most girls like a guy who can make them love to laugh, so if you’ve got a good sense of humour show it. You don’t have to be a stand-up comedian but super serious guys are boring. Granted some girls are serious and boring themselves and would probably like that in a man, but not this girl here. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t only need humour, I love an intellectual conversation and a good debate. So in short, let your personality shine.

Some girls act as though they’re not interested even if they are and they play hard to get, while others will let you know one way or another, but If she's smiling and laughing you can take these as positive signs: I would say it’s all in the eyes.
Avoid instant turn-offs
Chat up lines are the worst; they’re so cheesy. Also bad smells are a no-no. Always have fresh breath and nice aftershave on -- not too much though, there’s nothing worse than feeling faint from the overwhelming smell of a man drenched in aftershave. Furthermore, it goes without saying that you’re unlikely to get far if you stink of booze, kebab breath or sweat. Once you get chatting, don’t go on about yourself: You may be trying to impress us, but honestly, it has the opposite effect. Instead make sure you focus the attention on her.
Be a gentleman
There aren’t enough gentlemen out there anymore, so if you can stand out from the crowd you’re going to win brownie points. I get really mad when I’m getting on the underground with a heavy suitcase trying to carry it up the stairs and a man walks right past. Simple gestures like holding a door open or letting a lady go in font of you at a busy bar are nice and will be appreciated. That said, over the top romantic gestures should be used in relationships and not when first approaching someone or on the first date.
